Quotes attributable to National Coordinator for Taskforce Morpheus National Day of Action and Commander of NSW Police Raptor Squad, Detective Inspector Brad Abdy:

“The results of this National Day of Action make one thing clear – law enforcement agencies across Australia and New Zealand stand united in disrupting organised criminal networks.

“Our coordinated efforts send a strong message to the Hells Angels OMCG and their associates: we will continue to target, dismantle and remove their ability to operate.

“The priority is community safety – and the actions taken today – from warrants to compliance checks – directly reduce the risk these criminal groups pose to everyday people.

“The public can be confident that police will continue to apply pressure wherever OMCGs attempt to operate.”

Quotes attributable to Queensland Police Detective Acting Chief Superintendent and National Chair of Taskforce Morpheus, Troy Pukallus:

“Through coordinated, multi-agency efforts under Taskforce Morpheus, Australian and New Zealand law enforcement partners continue to work together to disrupt criminal networks that rely on intimidation, secrecy, and adaptability to operate.

“Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs (OMCGs) are sophisticated and persistent, but so too is the collective resolve of police and partner agencies to expose their activities and hold those responsible to account.

“By combining targeted daily enforcement with large-scale, intelligence-led operations such as today, agencies are strengthening their ability to identify, disrupt, and dismantle organised criminal enterprises.

“This unified approach ensures continued pressure on OMCGs and reinforces a shared commitment to protecting the community from the significant harm they cause.”

Quotes attributable to Australia Federal Police Detective Superintendent Adrian Telfer:

"The AFP supported the international law enforcement response to the 2026 Hells Angels OMCG World Run held in Igoumenitsa, Greece between 5-7th June 2026. An estimated 5000 Hells Angels members and affiliates, including families, attended the event.

"By working closely with international law enforcement OMCG experts from EUROPOL, Canada and Greece, as well as domestic partners like Australian Border Force, we were able to identify Australian Hells Angels OMCG members traveling to the event and collect valuable intelligence.

"Our support led to Hellenic Police disrupting the arrival of several Hells Angels members into Greece by banning their entry, seizing paraphernalia through personal searches, and uncovering a potential threat to a senior agency official."

Quotes attributable to Victoria Police Detective Inspector Mick Daly, Taskforce Echo:

“The social and economic impact of outlaw motorcycle gangs on our communities is significant. They are motivated by greed and profit and we know that they have a culture of secrecy and intimidation and a greater propensity for extreme violence.

“To support and facilitate their offending, they are highly territorial and utilise intimidation and violence to exert power and control. This violence can take place in public, exposing members of the community to an unacceptable risk.

“With specialist taskforces such as Echo and VIPER, we will continue to work collaboratively with our partner agencies to take action at every opportunity to dismantle and disrupt the illegal, anti-social and violent behaviours associated with OMCGs and reduce the impact of their harm on our community.”

Quotes attributable to Superintendent Campbell Hill, Officer in Charge of Serious and Organised Crime Branch SAPOL.

“South Australia Police (SAPOL) maintain focus on enforcement and compliance activities to disrupt, derail, and deter OMCG activities to change behaviour, prevent community harm and impact the capability of the Hells Angels OMCG involvement in Serious Organised Crime.”

“Participation in the day of action bolsters the abilities of key agencies to information share on OMCG activities across national and international landscapes, creating a hostile environment for OMCG to mobilise their activities.

“While OMCG members and their associates and facilitators continue to engage in criminality which poses a high risk to the community, they can expect SAPOL to continue to work with law enforcement partners to disrupt and undertake enforcement activity as and where needed.”
