WA Police Force’s Meth Enforcement Taskforce detectives seized over 8kg of Methylamphetamine and over $1.4m cash yesterday, Thursday 31 January 2019, as part of a

joint operation with the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission targeting the distribution of illicit drugs.

About 11:00am a vehicle was stopped at a hotel on Rowe Avenue, Rivervale. It will be alleged the driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man from High Wycombe, was found to be in

possession of $689,860 cash.

A search warrant was subsequently executed at a residence in Koongee Cross, High Wycombe, where it will be alleged just over 8.4kg of Methylamphetamine and $809,950 cash

was located. A 22-year-old High Wycombe man, who resides at the residence, was arrested.

A 20-year-old man from High Wycombe, who was driving the vehicle, has been charged with Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property (Cash). He is due to appear in the

Perth Magistrates court on Thursday 14 February 2019.

A 22-year-old man from High Wycombe, who was arrested at the residence, has been charged with Possess a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply (Methylamphetamine)

and Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property (Cash). He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court today, Friday 1 February 2019.
