Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission
The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) has today released the Serious Financial Crime in Australia 2017 report, which highlights the sophistication and complexity of serious financial crime facing Australia.
Two men have been charged with attempting to import methamphetamine from a global criminal syndicate that has attempted to traffic almost $1.7 billion worth of the high-harm drug to Australia over several months. A further four men, who allegedly tried to buy the illicit drugs in Australia, have also been charged.
Working across a variety of roles, graduates at the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) are at the forefront of tackling serious and organised crime both in Australia and offshore.
