The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is a Commonwealth entity that performs a regulatory function, and is therefore considered an entity within the Home Affairs portfolio. As a regulator, the ACIC responds to a Ministerial Statement of Expectations, issued by a responsible Minister to a regulator or entity with regulatory functions, with a Regulator Statement of Intent that, in turn, identifies how we will deliver on the Government’s expectations.
